Responsible travel

Enriching,both ways.

Every programme we create is socially and environmentally sensitive, and as enriching for the communities you visit as it is for you.

It starts with
the basics.

Responsible and ethical operation of every journey we deliver is of paramount importance to us.

We give a great deal of attention to every facet, down to basics such as switching off engines when vehicles are idle to limit emissions, and making sure the communities who meet our travellers derive a sustainable economic benefit.

To this end, we have developed an array of travel experiences in collaboration with remote local communities. Each is an opportunity to gain unique insights into authentic Sri Lankan culture and lifestyles, while bringing sustainable development to the local community and environment.

Our commitments

Habits that
travel with us.

Three things we hold to on every programme, wherever you are on the island.

  1. 01

    Lighter on the land

We keep single-use plastic to a minimum.

  2. 02

    People, not scenery

We maximise local community involvement, so the people you meet are part of the experience.

  3. 03

    Tangible contributions

Each journey makes a real contribution to the communities it passes through.
